Workshop Now on Sale for: $35

About the Workshop:
Learn how to make your own natural lip balm, deodorant, lotion, perfume and more! Guest Instructor Ayrton Chapman will be teaching participants the basic structure of creating natural beauty products, and how to manipulate the craft to suit individual needs. This is a hands on class with an emphasis on experimentation!

During the later half of this 3 hour class, participants will have the opportunity to experience some of Ayrton’s favorite natural spa treatments! These treatments will focus on the use of simple ingredients that you may already have stocked in your kitchen cabinets. Ayrton will show us how to lift, scrub and soothe!

Each participant will take home the products created during the workshop: lip balm, deodorant, rub-on perfume, and a recipe booklet. A few lucky students will be the recipients of our mystery grab-bags!

About the Instructor:
Ayrton is an artist and waitress living in Denton. She received her BFA in Photography from UNT and is interested in creating beautiful, useful items (and some just for fun)!

A CALL FOR ARTISTS AND SKILLED PERSONS:

Recently, Cardo’s Farm Project has further expanded its educational mission by renovating the barn to be used as a workshop space for artists and educators to teach and share their skills. With this workshop space, we plan to integrate art practice and farming practice by providing opportunities for the community to work creativity with an emphasis on the natural environment.

We are seeking artists and skilled persons who are looking for the opportunity to gain experience in the community arts by teaching an awesome workshop.

Inexperienced and beginning educators are encouraged to apply. Cardo’s Farm Project Staff is available to assist with the development of ideas in order to create a successful workshop for the artist/teacher and students. So, please do not hesitate to contact us.
